Amy Wormald is an award-winning artist known for her distinctive paintings, brought to life through vivid, expressive colour.
Amy specialises in commissions for homes and workplaces, creating bespoke artworks that respond to both environment and individual. Her work offers a way to bring boldness, joy, and a sense of place into everyday spaces. Working with spray paint and acrylic, Amy builds layered surfaces that are saturated with energy, life, and a sense of vibrancy.
After gaining a degree in Fine Art in 2002, Amy returned to painting fifteen years later with renewed focus. Now based beneath the vast skies of the Cambridgeshire Fens, she draws continual inspiration from her surroundings in Ely and beyond, translating her experience of different environments into dynamic, contemporary landscapes.
Amy has exhibited widely across the UK, including five solo exhibitions, and her work is held in collections internationally. Her achievements include 1st Prize at the Cambridge Open Art Exhibition, the Holly Bush Women’s Art Prize Bursary, selection for the D Contemporary Painting Prize, and a special commendation from the Institute of East Anglian Artists. More recently, her work has been selected for the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition (2023) and The Other Art Fair presented by Saatchi Art (2024).
